Quickstart

This guide takes you end to end — sign in, set up your organization, ask Ellie your first question, ground it in a document, and export the result — in about ten minutes.

What you'll need

Access to your JobKred workspace (an invitation from your company administrator) and, optionally, one document you'd like to work from — a role description, a résumé, or a skills spreadsheet.

1. Sign in

Open the app and sign in with the account your administrator created for you. You'll land on the Chats page — your home base for chatting with Ellie.

2. Set up your organization (once)

Before you ask anything, spend two minutes filling in your organization details — industry, size, website, a short description, and your objectives. Ellie uses these to tailor every answer to your business.

Why this matters

The same request ("generate job profiles") produces sharper, more relevant results when JobKred knows you're, say, a 2,000-person healthcare provider rather than a generic company.

3. Start your first conversation

On the Chats page you'll see starter suggestions grouped by what you want to do — Generate & Create, Analyze & Recommend, Plan & Strategize, and more. Click one to pre-fill the chat box, then edit it to match your situation and press Send.

For your first try, pick Skills Gap Analysis or Generate Job Profiles and adjust the text.

When you send, your message appears immediately and Ellie shows "Agent is processing your request…". Ellie works in the background, so you can keep reading — the answer appears in the chat when it's ready, usually within a minute.

You can leave and come back

Processing happens on our servers, not in your browser tab. If you navigate away, the answer is still written to the chat — just reopen it later.

4. Ground the answer in your own document (optional)

Generic answers are useful; answers grounded in your data are better. To attach a document:

  1. Open the context panel on the right side of the chat.
  2. Under Files, upload a document (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, text, or an image) — or import one from a connected source such as Google Drive.
  3. Send your question again. Ellie now reads your document as part of its answer.

→ More on files: Files overview.

5. Read, save, and export the result

Ellie's reply is formatted text, and any tables or documents it generates appear as exportable cards. For each one you can:

  • Preview it in CSV, HTML, or PDF,
  • Save to File so it lives in your workspace, or
  • Download it (CSV, Excel, and more).

→ More on outputs: Read, export & sync results.

6. Make it repeatable with a workflow (optional)

If this is something you'll run again — every quarter, or for each department — turn it into a workflow. Open Workflows, click Use Template, pick a starter like Skills Gap Analysis, and run it. You can also put it on a schedule so it runs automatically.
