Workflow templates
A template is a ready-made workflow for a common workforce job — the nodes are already chosen, arranged, and connected — so your first run is minutes away instead of an afternoon.
Find and copy a template
Open Workflows and pick the Templates tab. (Create Workflow → Create from Template takes you to the same place.)
- Browse — each template is a card showing its industry icon, name, a one-line summary, and two badges: its Category and its Industry.
- Filter — narrow the list by Industry, by Category, or by Status. Status starts on Active; switch it to Deprecated to see older templates kept around for reference, or All to see everything.
- Preview — click a template's name to open a read-only canvas beside the list. You can see the whole graph — every node and connection — before you commit to it. Click the name again, or the close button, to dismiss it.
- Copy — click Copy Template, confirm, and JobKred creates your own copy under My Workflows and opens it in the editor.
Copying takes a snapshot. Your copy is an independent draft — nothing you change in it affects the template or anyone else, and if JobKred later updates the template, your copy stays exactly as you left it. Copy the same template as many times as you like.
What you get in a copy
A template gives you the structure, not the content. The nodes are placed, named, and wired together, but every input field starts empty — the specifics have to be yours.
So after copying, three steps get you to a first run:
- Fill in the nodes — select each node and complete its inputs in the Inspector. See Build a workflow.
- Attach your data — add the files, captures, and frameworks the workflow should draw on. See Add Knowledge.
- Run it — run once by hand, then put it on a schedule if it's worth repeating. See Run & schedule.
Adjust freely as you go: add nodes, delete the ones you don't need, and rewire the connections. A template is a starting point, not a contract.
Most templates are assembled from the same small vocabulary of steps, in roughly this order — Start → Strategic Intent → Workforce Diagnostic and Skills Diagnostic → Competency Builder → Training → Assessment and Skill Validation → Career Pathing and Mobility → Outcome Monitor. Templates often branch, so two tracks (say, training and mobility) run side by side rather than one after the other. Every one of these steps is a specialist you can also talk to in chat — see the Agent Catalog.
The categories
Every template carries one Category — the kind of work it does — and an Industry tag.
| Category | What these templates do |
|---|---|
| Planning | Frameworks, pipelines, and long-horizon workforce design |
| Assessment | Measure capability and risk against a standard |
| Development | Reskilling, upskilling, and transformation |
| Compliance | Certification, safety, and accreditation — the ones you re-run every cycle |
The Industry tag is a starting point, not a restriction: a compliance template written for aviation adapts perfectly well to another regulated field, and the steps inside it are the same specialists every other template uses.

JobKred curates these templates and adds to them over time, so treat the Templates tab in the app as the current catalog. If a template you used has since been marked Deprecated, your copy of it keeps working.
