Begin a new chat​

There are two ways to start:

  • Pick a starter suggestion. On the Chats page, Ellie shows a set of suggestion cards grouped by what you want to do. Click one to pre-fill the chat box, edit the text to fit your situation, and press Send.
  • Just type. Press New chat (the + button) and write your request from scratch.

Sending your first message creates the chat and gives it a title generated automatically from what you asked.

Suggestions pre-fill, they don't auto-send

Clicking a starter card drops its prompt into the input so you can adjust it first. Nothing is sent until you press Send.

Ellie covers the full workforce intelligence lifecycle. Here are a few examples, grouped the way the starter suggestions are:

Generate & Create​

  • "Generate job profiles for a 200-person logistics company."
  • "Create a skills assessment (MCQs) for a Data Analyst role."
  • "Draft an on-the-job-training blueprint for a new warehouse supervisor."

Analyze & Recommend​

  • "Analyze the skills gap for this team against their job profiles." (attach the team's data)
  • "Recommend courses for an employee moving from Marketing Analyst to Product Manager."
  • "Distribute a headcount of 80 across these roles within a $4M budget."

Harmonize & Standardize​

  • "Harmonize these overlapping skill names into one clean set." (attach the list)
  • "Cluster these similar job profiles and propose a consolidated set."

Extract & Parse​

  • "Extract job profiles from this document." (attach a file)
  • "Pull a structured skills list out of this résumé."

Plan & Strategize​

  • "Define our strategic workforce intent for a digital transformation."
  • "Diagnose our workforce composition and capability gaps."
  • "Plan internal mobility paths for these roles."

Validate & Monitor​

  • "Validate these skills against our framework and flag compliance gaps."
  • "Summarize our workforce development outcomes for the last quarter."

If Ellie asks a question back​

When a request is ambiguous or needs data you haven't provided, Ellie asks a clarifying question rather than guessing. This is normal, and it keeps results accurate — just answer in your next message. A common example: "Please attach the document you'd like me to analyze." See Add context for how to attach data.

Suggested follow-ups​

After most replies, Ellie offers a few suggested follow-ups — clickable prompts that take the obvious next step (for example, "Now create a development plan from these gaps"). Click one to send it immediately, or ignore them and type your own.
