Outcome Monitor

Also available in workflows

This specialist runs in chat and as a node you can add to a workflow for repeatable, scheduled runs. See the Agent Catalog for how the two relate.

Overview

Outcome Monitor keeps an eye on how your workforce-development efforts are actually performing. Given your metrics, goals, and initiative status, it builds a performance picture, tracks progress against what you set out to achieve, and recommends where to focus next.

It's built for people-analytics, learning and development (L&D), and operations leads who need to review results and report them up. Reach for it when you're running a program or set of initiatives and want a regular read on whether they're on track — and a clear list of actions when they're not.

It works only from the data you provide. It never invents metric values, dates, or owners. When something's missing, it asks one focused question rather than guessing.

What you'll need

Bring the numbers and goals you want to monitor:

  • Key performance indicators (KPIs) — the metrics you track, their current and target values.
  • Goals and milestones — what you set out to achieve, with target dates and owners.
  • Initiative status — the programs or projects underway and where each one stands.

Attach your latest data so each report reflects the current state. See Add context for how to attach it.

How to ask

Give Ellie your latest figures and say what you want to see.

Build a performance dashboard:

Here are this month's workforce KPIs against target. Build a performance
dashboard with trends and flag anything that needs attention.

Report progress against goals:

From this initiative tracker, summarize progress on our development goals,
which milestones we've hit, and where we're falling behind.

Get a prioritized action list:

Based on these results, recommend the highest-impact actions to take next,
including quick wins and any risks we should mitigate.

What you get

Depending on your request, you receive one or more of these reports, ready to read and export:

  • Performance Dashboard — an executive summary, key performance indicators against target, performance by category against benchmarks, trend analysis over time, and alerts on issues needing attention.
  • Progress Reports — a progress overview, goal completion status, milestone tracking, the status of ongoing initiatives, and major achievements.
  • Action Recommendations — an overview of the insights, priority actions ranked by impact and effort, quick wins, longer-term strategic initiatives, and recommended risk-mitigation steps.

Tips

  • Include both current and target values so the dashboard can show gaps and status, not just raw numbers.
  • Provide dates and owners for goals and milestones to get accurate progress tracking.
  • Ask for recommendations when you want direction, not only measurement — the action report ranks moves by impact and effort.
  • Feed it fresh data each cycle so trends and progress reflect reality.
  • Run it as a workflow node on a schedule to produce the same monitoring report automatically each week or month.
